Description
This is the Air Jordan XIII (13) Retro in the white, black, and true red popularly dubbed the He Got Game edition. This pair originally released in 1997 as the first color way of the Air Jordan XIII (13) and was worn by MJ to begin the memorable 1997-98 NBA season. The nickname derives from the shoes cameo (product placement) in the Spike Lee film He Got Game which released in 1998. Jake Shuttlesworth, played by Denzel Washington, purchases the pair when he was shoe shopping and requested the “new Air Jordans”. The shoe shows up later just about every time Denzel does but the most memorable is when Jake wears them in a game of one on one against his son Jesus, played by Jordan Brand prodigy Ray Allen. These shoes were only retro’d once before in 2008 when it came in one of the Air Jordan Count Down Packs accompanied by an Air Jordan X (10). These shoes have been highly anticipated so be sure to add it to your collection today.
